Woodwork

Woodwork encompasses all areas of learning and development.  Children are highly motivated, engaged and really enjoy the challenge of using real tools and working with wood.  Woodwork also develops children's self-esteem and confidence and allows them to use their critical thinking and problem solving skills.  This is why woodwork is available for all children to use in Skylark class during their self directed playing and learning time.  Safety is paramount and the children follow strict safety guidelines, like wearing safety glasses at all times.
