Welcome to our Pre-School - Draycott and Rodney Stoke

Draycott and Rodney Stoke CE Pre-School (part of Draycott and Rodney Stoke First School) is a stunning pre-school at the foot of the Mendip Hills which offers a caring and nurturing environment for children aged two years nine months to four (children start with us during the term they turn 3 years old). Rated 'Good' by Ofsted, it is at the heart of its local community and combines incredible staff, with exemplary facilities and a beautiful location.

Admissions and Fees

 

To enroll your child: 

  1. Telephone or email the school office (01934 742052 / office@drsfirstschool.co.uk) in the first instance to arrange a visit and to discuss the availability of your chosen sessions. 

  1. You will be offered a visit, and you will receive a welcome pack that includes documentation to be completed before taster sessions are offered. 

  1. Hot meals are available at an extra cost (special dietary requirements and medical needs can be catered for by arrangement). 

 

The hourly rate charged is £6.25 per hour, which is the same price across all Wessex Learning Trust nurseries and pre-schools. 

Our sessions include all day, morning, or afternoon. (We recommend your child attends two sessions a week to help them settle.) We can claim early years’ entitlement for eligible children (the term after their second or third birthday) up to a maximum of 8.5 hours a day and 15 hours per week (or 30 hours if eligible), term time only. Additional hours over your daily and weekly limits are chargeable at our current hourly rate. This includes breakfast club which runs 8:00 am - 8.45 am and after school club which runs 3.15pm - 4.30pm / 3.15pm - 5.30pm.

Key Person

Each child in Skylark Class is assigned a key person when they start. Their role is to help ensure that every child’s care is tailored to meet their individual needs, to help the child become familiar with the setting, offer a settled relationship for the child and build a relationship with their parents.
