Each child in Skylark Class is assigned a key person when they start. Their role is to help ensure that every child’s care is tailored to meet their individual needs, to help the child become familiar with the setting, build a secure attachment with the child and form a relationship with their parents. From the basis of this settled relationship, the children play and learn in our classroom and are supported by all the adults. As children grow older they develop secure relationships with an increasing range of adults and they will learn across all areas of learning and development with them, however we will continue to provide times when they are with their key person.
